Name: # 213 "yogurt"
Species: Oculi/Perfect
Gender: Female
Appearance: ‘I was once told that ‘Perfect’ was one of Gods words. I haven’t decided if I believe in Him yet.’
Like any Oculi, she’s tall (just under 6’) and thin. Actually, more like scrawny, thanks to her small-portioned eating habits before and after liberation. Yogurt will wear anything that’s comfortable and practical. Right now, that would be gloves and boots from Helix/Ind, loose fitting jeans, a t-shirt, and a lab coat she found with the lower half burnt off (she wears it for the numerous pockets). She’ll purposely smear her cloths, hair and skin with mud for camouflage. She has waist-length blonde hair that’s always tied back and out of the way. Yogurt finds it easier to just keep long hair tied back and have no bangs, instead of having to frequently cut short hair. May or may not be considered one of the more intimidating looking with her sniper rifle always slung over her shoulder. Her weapon of choice has made her right arm and shoulder bulkier than her left.
Her left arm and back have burn scars. Some can be seen if she takes of her lab coat.
Personality: ‘If it has a face, two legs, and is healthy enough to walk, it’s worth saving.’
Yogurt was typically more obedient when Helix/Ind was still running. She firmly believes it’s her duty to protect the humans on this side of the boarder; probably a result from a successful education at Helix/Ind. Yogurt isn’t actually a loner type. She just frequently finds herself in positions that make it hard for others to get close to her. She’d either be out with her rifle on top of a hill or building (at the firing range before liberation) or thinking on her own. Yogurt actually prefers company and having a partner would actually be ideal for a sniper. But to point of being a sniper was to not be found and to watch and help from a distance, and whenever Yogurt was not using her rifle, she’d be thinking too hard for her to notice others around her. She’s been too oblivious to socialize that other Oculi tend to ignore her.
Yogurt’s mind is constantly running. Before liberation, she’d constantly think about what she did wrong in her last firing range secession and how she’ll do it right next time around, or reviewing the information from last social class in her head. Even going over good and bad battle tactics and sniper techniques she learned in military history. Now, it’s mapping out and calculating the best areas that will likely provide the next meal ticket and where to position herself to get the best vantage point of these areas, or why a normal human lashed out at her with a knife when she clearly had a large, loaded sniper rifle under her arm. Lately, Yogurt has stuck up a fascination with the concept of God and Christianity and its meaning to the normals.
History: ‘I like yogurt. Get over it.’
Yes. Named Yogurt since that was the only food she was seen to ever finish every meal. She was a keener back then, also very obedient, if she was told to go on a suicide mission she’d do it. Only now is she beginning to reanalyze her attitude from back then and question whether she really should have acted so loyally, and continues to second-guess her decision to continue protecting the humans. Her favourite subject was anthropology. Helix/Ind really only focused on the evolution aspect, but the sociology aspect of it was more intriguing to Yogurt. You could imagine how surprised (or almost thrilled) she was to see how little the animal instinct has diminished in humans. It’s become sort of a new fascination with her.
When the attack on Helix/Ind occurred, Yogurt didn’t leave unscathed. She considers herself lucky to escape with a few minor burns on her left arm and back. Her face, strangely enough was untouched. She lived on her own for a while to recover, while also watching the happenings around the city with her scope. Durning this time, she had watched an incident with an Oculi that killed a human; she then resolved to kill Oculi if it was necessary to save a human. She is still welcome among the Oculi, but the relationship is much the same. However, her sniping skills have proven useful for providing food. She used to hunt for them, but as of late, she comes by less and less.
As much as she’d like for Oculi (plural?) and humans to co-exist, even if the relationship is mutual beneficial, she’d chose to save a human over an Oculi any day. Of course, saving an Oculi over an enemy human (the other country’s men) goes without saying. So far, she has the blood of several Ocilu on her hands. Yogurt has escaped prosecution thanks to the common assumption that it was a human that killed these Oculi.
Random Bit of Trivia:
Yogurt is actually a reincarnation of an old character with a similar appearance and background, a bio-weapon experiment named Delta-Y. Instead of Yogurt’s ‘live-and-let-live’ attitude, Delta-Y was taught ‘killed-or-be-killed’. Yogurt has a lighter personality compared to Delta-Y because being an Oculi lets her. The scientists behind Delta-Y practically perfected mood and thought suppressing techniques. Out of the twenty other subjects that were produced along with Delta-Y, she was the least emotional and second lethal. Her weapon of choice was also a sniper rifle.
