Welcome to Helix Industries.
Before venturing out we ask that you read and agree with the following rules. If you have any questions you may post them in the Questions/Suggestions board or PM a staff member who will be more than happy to help you out.
1. Please respect all members; the enjoyment of the site rests in all our members hands and we wish it to stay a friendly and safe place.
2. Do not godmod, powerplay or spam any of our boards. If caught doing so the offender will have a temporary suspension, if continued it will result in an account ban.
3. This site is rated 15+, but please bear in mind younger members may join. Violence and gore is allowed, but refrain from using offensive swears relating to racism, sexism or homophobia on both posts and our chat-box.
4. Please do not double post. Long responses are encouraged however posting many times in a row will be considered spam. If you wish to add to your post, you may click the 'Modify' button where you may fix, add or redo any speech.
5. Our staff will consist of members we trust and are worthy of the staff position. Please do on ask to become a moderator, our answer will always be no.
6. If temporarily leaving, we ask that you use the 'Absences' board. This is to alert any members you may have been posting with, to acknowledge your absence. Any accounts inactive for two months may be deleted by staff.
7. Certain characters hold certain personality traits, swearing on a role play board will not be met with punishment, however, any discriminating comments outside of the RP will not be tolerated.
8. This is a literate role play site, we ask that you not use ** or -- to indicate action. Please avoid any chat lingo in posts and try to make them as lengthy as possible. Detail make everything more interesting!
9. Because this site is rated 15+ we ask that no sexual role plays be posted on boards. If you wish to do so, please use private messages or take it somewhere else.
10. Here on Helix/Ind. we do not have a character limit, however, we ask that you only create an amount you can handle and preferably not all at once.
11. Death is a natural part of life, if you wish to kill off a character we ask that you inform an admin before hand.
12. All role plays are done in third person narrative. If this must be explained, this site may not be for you.
13. Role-plays here are in liquid time, therefore your character may be in multiple places. Though be sure you can manage this.
14. Please name your bio your character's full name/title. This is so people looking for characters to be can easily check to see if their choice has been taken or not.
15. No characters are invincible. Even if they are Oculi, they are still human and may be injured. This is a type of power play and will be met with the appropriate discipline listed in rule #2.
16. It would be very nice of you to tell the admins the name of a thread that is finished, so we can put [complete] or [c] after the title. Why? In case someone else comes along and tries to join the thread, even though it's finished. It's awkward for all of us.
Again, we will not bend on any of the following rules, if you have any question or concerns please contact an administrator.
Thank-you.
