What a mess this place was. This Library had probably been such a place of discovery one day, and now it was completely torn apart. War was such a nasty thing, Trisha thought of it as a plague as she knew what it did to people. It ruined their lives and left them for dead, it was part of her actions that made the place like this. Now she lived in it like the remaining humans of this city, but she was a parasite to them before and now in her head. She walked up the stairs of the library, searching around for books that she could read, and to make sure that nobody was to jump her when she least expected it. Luckily at the time, she was all alone here. Perfect.
In the singed and blackened books she looked around for one certain knowledge container, but even she did not know what she was looking for. Shortly a couple of hours before, when she had been healing a wound after getting shot in the arm by a Hunter. She had met a very old human who had told her some interesting things about a certain religion which she wanted to learn about because of hi.. One problem however; she had no clue what the religion was nor the book thew religion was contained in. This was going to be fun. for the longest time she kept looking for the book, skimming every book she found for the word Jesus or Heaven. Though this book was like finding a needle in a haystack, and it frustrated her. However, she kept on going with her findings. It was never in her to give up, it was probably something that was programmed into her anyways. She just kept looking for anything that could be useful for her own knowledge, and making sure no one would come and stab her in the back.

Harvey was still tipsy from the drinking; often he had to stop to regain his balance and focus before continuing on. He regretted taking the alcohol, but the damage was done and regret wouldn't solve the problem. He wasn't sure where he was going; it was hard for him to keep a straight line, and just when he thought he was walking down a street he would hit a wall. Eventually one of the walls he hit had a door, which he instantly decided to enter to cease his wayward gait and prevent self-injury.
Instantly he discovered it to be the library. It was dusty and gutted. Some books scattered on the floor, their spines facing him, their pages smashed on the ground. Harvey's felt himself tipping, so he caught himself, and decided that as long as he was bent down he should inspect the book nearest to him. It was thick with a black leather cover, which was almost grey with dust. He grabbed it and closed it, taking a look at the cover--a golden cross blazed on the front, but nothing else. A Bible. Though his head was muddled, he remembered the man-at-the-bar's words, and then Elisa's accusation of his lack of a soul, and his few readings at Helix which involved religion.
He opened it and flipped the pages until he found the start of the tales, Genesis, and tried to read. It was confusing, and Harvey's state of mind didn't exactly help. He closed it which sent up a cloud of dust, which inevitably made him sneeze. He heard a sound and froze. Was someone else here? He glanced behind him. He was still standing in the doorway. Somewhere behind the shelves? He hoped it wasn't an Oculi hunter. Right now that was not a good time for that. He noticed a figure appear, who looked armed... but it looked familiar...
"Ah," Harvey sighed with relief. It was the girl from the bar. A strange coincidence had led him to where she had gone. "Dar'in, so serry, I didn't--I--I must've accidenta'y follow'd yew." He found it hard to articulate, so his speech was slurred. He didn't like that. He liked having perfect articulation. He was about to say a friendlier greeting when he heard more sounds; this time from behind him. He peeked outside and saw a couple figures walking down the street. They were checking buildings. They had guns.
He recalled that this girl, who must be an Oculi, was being chased, and warned him there could be more of them before she left. Were these the guys? Nevertheless, Harvey backed away from the door and took care not to trip on the books. "L-looks like we got sum com'any." He laughed despite himself, "Sheet. This in't a gud time..."

The longer that Trisha had stayed in this ravaged library, the more it seemed futile to actually find the book she was looking for in this place. As in her point of view; it was like looking for a needle in a haystack for her. She wasn't one to give up so easily however, though she had been looking for quite some time and she only found books on things she learned or didn't care about. She was beginning to give up on her little search for this book, and that was when she heard a sneeze. In a flash she pulled up her pistol from it's holster and clicked out the safety lock. It made a slightly loud noise, louder with with the echo that was made no thanks to the library, and she cursed under her breath. Whoever was in here with her may have heard the noise as well. She had to make things fast for herself.
Checking through all the shelves she looked around for whoever was around the place. For all she knew, it could have been another hunter following a trail to her from the bar. A hunter could easily kill the drinking Oculi with one clean shot to the head while he was dazed, then get the old man to spill just a few small words out to him. It wasn't that hard at all. While looking around she saw a figure who had a human shape and held out her gun to them, though the hair made her realize who it was. She lowered her gun and swallowed some air in and exhaled it in a relived but annoyed sigh.
He scared her half to death that time, and probably didn't even realize it himself either. Even from where she was, she could smell the horrendous stuff that was gurgling in his gut and had seemed to affect his brain just by how his body moved around. What an idiot, decided to defile his body with the junk the humans used to calm themselves with the cost of braincells. She was lucky that her body could not stand the stuff, it was a good thing on her end.
It seemed like the other Oculi had been distracted by things as he looked out the door and shifted back. She knew that it meant that someone was coming around the place. heck, he even told her and laughed about it. What an idiot! The sound vibrated his louder words and it could almost instantly trigger the other people to come in and sniff them out. Quickly she went to him and grabbed his hand, or what was left of it. "Come on, we can't stay out in the open if you are telling the truth." With that, she began to lead him to the farther back area of the library so they could find somewhere to hide from the people who were searching the homes.

Harvey winced at the pain as the girl grabbed his injured hand and pulled him away. She dragged him to the back of the library and they both hid behind some shelves. The logical side of his brain would have done something like that, but right now it was fogged and pretty much disconnected. He knew enough to stay quiet. If the men came in and he made a noise, they would be in trouble.
He heard footsteps. His heart pounded quickly, which he realized was caused by fear. Well, that was obvious, but... he'd never been this scared. The alcohol had affected his emotions, too. He wanted to get up and run, but remained where he was; the little bit of logic remaining in his brain telling him that running would just get him shot.
He nursed his hand as he listened for the footsteps. They were each carefully taken, and progressively getting closer. At points he heard voices, so he guessed there wasn't just one. Of course. The footsteps became louder as they came to the library entrance.
There was a long silence in which Harvey held his breath.
Then one of the men outside said, "Let's check in here."
